Those in search of greater adventure can sample the thrills
of aqua sports. A multi-sports and leisure complex with all facilities for
water sports-pedal-boating, kayaking, canoeing and speed-boating has been
created by Delhi Tourism at Bhaleswa
lake , situated on Delhi's north-eastern edge. Fishing is also
permitted over here.
Delhi Tourism has also provided paddleboats at other water bodies in the
heart of the city. These include the lake near
India Gate ,
Purana Qila, Prashad Nagar Lake and
Naini Lake in Model town. A variety of fibreglass boats have been acquired
by the corporation and can be hired at reasonable rates. Special training
programmes in kayaking and canoeing are organised at the latter
